What is a Sensory Diet?

A sensory diet is a series of activities and accommodations used to help meet an autistic person's sensory needs.

What does it look like?

This diet isn't just about food.

It's about every sensory thing in life.

Such as:

Clothing

Lighting

Exercise

Stim Toys

Movement Breaks

 Mindfulness​

How does it help?

Meeting these sensory needs means we get fewer meltdowns, shutdowns, and anxiety.

It can also make us feel happier and more comfortable.
